Please stand behind the yellow line if you're feeling blue no lifting, no lifting, no lifting, not today if I said I'm sorry, I really do not know we blamed it on some Japanese reality tv show when his wife returned from Guatemala they made love for a whole week I think it was a Saturday when he laced on his shoes, left her under the sheets took a drag of smoke and said "honey, welcome home" as he picked up the phone, he dialed the operator he said "may I please speak to the president?" she said "I'm sorry, but he is not home. He's filming a commercial for a Japanese tv show" and he hit the window fast, as his body shattered through the glass and he hit the ground, he made a funny sound the people didn't notice as the cops, they scraped him up and everything was alright 'cause he wore his fancy yellow shoes everything was alright 'cause he wore his fancy yellow shoes and a name bracelet, everything was okay it said his name was Jack, I always thought it was John oh well, farewell, I wish you happy travels I hope you make it wherever you want to be oh well, farewell, I'll see you in the next life I hope you live 'til one hundred and three oh well, farewell, I wish you happy travels I hope you make it where you want too be

And here I am laying in the sand counting down the days until I see your face again and what a wonderful world we must live where total strangers can become friends there are some days I wish would never end you take my breathe away and then you give me life again I'll write you songs if you want me to you light up my path and give me a new point of view from far, far away you'll see me standing on your shore I will surely be begging for more who could that be knocking at my door? is it you that I've been waiting for? ah yes, it is and here I am standing in the wind looking towards the day to have you in my arms again and I'll stay up with you as late as you want me to I want you to know I only have eyes for you From far, far away you'll see me standing on your shore I will surely be begging for more who could that be knocking at my door? is it you that I've been waiting for? ah yes, it was

I fell asleep in the middle of spring woke up under autumn leaves when I stretched my bones and shook off my tired I found you were not there with me Then I recalled that I was alone when I slumbered that April night but I swear I've seen you, not just in my dreams perhaps in another life Oh when I meet you I'll be sure to ask where you been and where are you headed and will I see you again So I'll sleep aside this tall sycamore and awake when the wind nudges me and through my blurry eyes I'll hope to find you where I dreamt you would be When I awake oh I'll be sailor and you'll be the mist in the breeze we'll have no beginning and go towards no end and live somewhere here in between Oh when I meet you I'll be sure to ask where you been and where are you headed and will I see you again

about

Originally called Sick on Sunday, and released under my former moniker of Sycamore. I recorded this album along with the B-sides in August 2015 and was my first dive into the world of recording and mixing my own music thoroughly. The result is a lo-fi album that has folk-inspired acoustic songs as well as dreamy soundscapes.

released August 30, 2015

Thanks to David Lopez for playing bass on all the songs, as well as Icy Drew for letting me record at his studio and helping me through the process.
